Instead of keeping dozens of spice containers crowded inside a cabinet, this wall-mounted design puts your spices where you can easily see and reach them.
The design featured in this project has four shelves and room for approximately 40 quart-size Mason jars.

Mason Jar Spice Wall Dimensions
The completed project measures approximately:
38¼” W × 32″ H × 4⅜” D
The four shelves are spaced approximately 9¼ inches apart, providing room for quart-size Mason jars.
Each shelf accommodates approximately 10 jars, giving the completed spice wall a capacity of approximately:
40 Quart Mason Jars
That’s a lot of spice storage in a relatively small footprint!
Materials You’ll Need
The complete plans provide a detailed materials and shopping guide, but the basic project includes:
- Pine boards
- Decorative metal shelf brackets
- Wood screws
- Wood glue
- Sandpaper
- Wood stain
- Protective finish
- Basic woodworking tools
You’ll also need your Mason jars and whatever spices you want to organize.
Planning the Shelves
One of the most important parts of building a wall-mounted spice rack is getting the measurements and bracket placement right.
The finished design uses three brackets per shelf.
The plans include detailed drawings showing:
