Homemade chocolate syrup! Great for dessert topping or making chocolate milk. With just 3 simple ingredients – water, cocoa, and sugar.

Chocolate Syrup

Homemade chocolate syrup!

Equipment

  • 1 pint jar with lid

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup of cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 cup of water

Instructions
 

  • Mix everything in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring frequently.
  • Reduce to a simmer and whisk until it starts to thicken.
  • Take it off the burner, let it cool.
  • Place in airtight container and store in the fridge. It will also thicken in the fridge.

Notes

Note: use only 1 cup of water if you want a fudge like consistency. Makes about 2 cups
