Flour Tortillas
Homemade flour Tortillas from scratch. No more store bought tortillas with way too many unhealthy ingredients in them. Now you can have fresh tortillas anytime! Also try my corn tortillas recipe.
Here is the King Arthur All-purpose flour, Redmonds real salt and 100% Pure grassfed Lard
Flour Tortilla
Equipment
- 1 griddle/skillet
- 1 rolling pin
- 1 scale
Ingredients
- 3 cups All-purpose Flour
- 3 tbsp Lard
- 1 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 cup warm water
Instructions
- Knead all ingredients together in mix with dough hook or hands
- Tear into a dozen golf ball size chunks or weight out 60 -64 grams per dough ball. Roll between your hands to create a ball
- place onto greased tray, cover and let them rest for 15 minutes
- dip one at a time into a little flour and use rolling pin to roll them out approximately 5-6 inches in diameter
- Heat griddle to medium high temperature and add tortilla
- cook each side for 45 – 60 seconds or until light brown spots form
- Place between towels to keep warm
