Freezer Garlic Bread

Making homemade freezer garlic bread is simple and convenient. You can prepare it in advance and have it ready to bake whenever you need a quick side. Sourdough bread is my favorite bread to use for garlic bread along with making my own garlic salt & parsley recipe.

This freezer garlic bread is perfect for pairing with pasta dishes, soups, or as a quick snack on its own!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 loaf of French sourdough recipe in link
  • 8 tbsp butter softened
  • Garlic salt & Parsley recipe in link
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese optional

Instructions
 

  • Slice the loaf of bread into thick slices, about 1 inch each.
  • Generously spread the butter on each slice of bread, making sure to cover the surface evenly and place on baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Sprinkle garlic salt & parsley over the buttered bread slices. Top with cheese if using.
  • Place the baking sheet in the freezer for 30 minutes.
  • Place the frozen bread in a resealable freezer bag or airtight container to prevent freezer burn. Use within 3 months for freshness.
  • When ready to bake, preheat your oven to 375°F.
  • Place the frozen garlic bread on baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the bread is hot and the butter has melted. For a crispier texture, broil for the last 2-3 minutes of baking.
