Slice the loaf of bread into thick slices, about 1 inch each.
Generously spread the butter on each slice of bread, making sure to cover the surface evenly and place on baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Sprinkle garlic salt & parsley over the buttered bread slices. Top with cheese if using.
Place the baking sheet in the freezer for 30 minutes.
Place the frozen bread in a resealable freezer bag or airtight container to prevent freezer burn. Use within 3 months for freshness.
When ready to bake, preheat your oven to 375°F.
Place the frozen garlic bread on baking sheet.
Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the bread is hot and the butter has melted. For a crispier texture, broil for the last 2-3 minutes of baking.
