Easy Oven Brisket
Simple brisket recipe you can cook in the oven, that turns out great every time! All you need is a rub and some broth. My homemade seasoning salt works great in the rub and homemade BBQ sauce will be a great addition to your brisket meal.
Easy Oven Brisket
Equipment
- 1 roasting pan with lid
Ingredients
- 1 4 lbs. brisket
- 1 1/2 cup broth
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tbsp Onion Powder
- 1 tbsp sugar cane sugar
- 1 tbsp seasoning salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Combine the chili powder, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, sugar, and seasoning salt in a bowl, and mix thoroughly to create a rub.
- Apply rub to surface of brisket and place in a roasting pan.
- Cook brisket, uncovered, in preheated oven for 1 hour.
- Remove from oven and add broth to roasting pan. Lower oven temperature to 300 degrees, cover roasting pan with the lid, and cook 3 more hours.
- Remove from the oven and let the brisket rest 30 minutes before slicing.
